WILLIAM HESSEL LIBRARY - CIRCULATION GUIDELINES

The William Hessel Library allows circulation of its books and audiovisual materials to Lake Michigan College students, employees, and community members who have a valid LMC ID card, state ID, driver's license, or WHL library card. LMC employees and students can check out up to ten (10) items for a four (4) week period. Community users may check out up to five (5) items for a two (2) week period.  New titles have a 2 week loan period for all borrowers. Borrowing privileges are non-transferable. The cardholder is responsible for any material checked out on their card. Borrowers with overdue materials forfeit the right to check out additional materials, including interlibrary loans. Students with overdue materials will have a hold placed upon their Banner account. For lost or damaged materials, replacement costs plus a processing fee will be charged to the borrower, or the borrower may replace the item after a discussion with the College Librarian.
